Stories From Around The World
99 Adventures in the Bible’s Big Story is a chronological Bible curriculum with 99 timeless Bible stories and engaging activities.
Ethiopia
Having an Amharic translation of “99 Adventures in the Bible’s Big Story” is of tremendous significance to the Ethiopian evangelical community. Ethiopia, with its rich Christian heritage and a growing evangelical presence, has a deep reverence for the Bible. However, many believers, particularly in rural and under-resourced areas, face challenges in accessing engaging and theologically sound materials that present the Bible as a unified, life-changing story. This book, which highlights the overarching narrative of God’s work throughout Scripture, resonates with the communal and story-oriented culture of Ethiopia. Translating it into Amharic, the most widely spoken language in Ethiopia, will support church leaders, Sunday school teachers, and parents with an accessible tool to spiritually nurture young believers.

Because of the efforts and resourcing of 99 Adventures, many children’s ministry leaders were encouraged and resourced. We find that simply bringing these leaders together for an event like this, gives them hope and a desire to continue on. In addition, having a curriculum as well laid out as 99 Adventures, gives these leaders a solid framework to move forward from. We are so grateful for everyone that has made and will make 99 Adventures training and tesourcing available to leaders in Belize and around the world.
Iran
Michael (not his real name) was a professional athlete in Iran, having won multiple medals at the World Championships and Asian Games. He was also a writer, editor, poet, and published several books and articles throughout his journalistic career. Then one day someone shared the Gospel with him in Tehran and he trusted Jesus Christ as his Savior. Now as a new creation in Christ, he began sharing his faith through his writings and in person for which he had to flee Iran because of the persecution that he started receiving.
Michael wound up in a different country and met some of our missionary friends working there. He soon started attending their church and then felt God calling him to preach. With his young family, Michael began pastoring a small church in the Middle East and serving the Lord.
On the other side of the world in Ecuador, God began bringing Persians to that beautiful country for various reasons. Many of those we encountered trusted Jesus Christ as their Savior and desired to study the Bible. Not having any discipleship materials in the Farsi language, we reached out to our missionary friends in the Middle East, and they introduced us to Michael, who translated a discipleship curriculum for us. Later, he agreed to organize a translation team to translate the children’s Bible curriculum 99 Adventures in the Bible’s Big Story by Dr. Jim.

This resource empowers teachers to gain the necessary knowledge to instruct at any major university worldwide, while enabling pastors to craft compelling sermons and Bible studies with confidence. While it doesn’t replace the Bible, it is a valuable tool for unlocking its profound truths. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to all men of God worldwide, particularly those engaged in preaching and education.
Myanmar
The children always re-tell their parents what they have learned from us. Now there are two Christian families and over 50 kids had learned about God and Jesus Christ through 99 Adventures.
The location is a slum area where people are open to learn about the Bible. The people have time and listen to the stories of the Bible from 99 Adventures. We are praying to get a simple house for mission work. As soon as we get a house for a church planter, we can start church with 7 members.
India
There were no materials available in many churches for the Sunday school students. Teachers were teaching them whatever they wanted to teach on any particular Sunday. There were no systematic teachings. But 99 Adventures enables the teachers to plan their lessons well.
This curriculum has reached very remote villages where there were no Sunday schools. Children were deprived of quality Biblical teaching. Now these children have received the 99 Adventure materials in their own languages. They enjoy studying the word of God. Earlier, the children were not interested in coming to church, but now they are very regular. They don’t want to miss any Sundays. 99 Adventures is now being introduced not only in the churches, but also in Christian organizations and institutions. We are praising God for His blessings.
